Meet Ross
Founder & Custom Fitter
Ross is the founder of EP Golf Studios and an experienced custom fitter with a passion for golf equipment, performance and helping golfers get more from their game.
His interest in golf began at 12, with the equipment side quickly becoming a particular passion. Before working in the industry, Ross was already buying, selling and testing different clubs and setups to understand what genuinely improved performance.
In 2021, Ross founded EP Golf Studios with the aim of creating a different kind of custom fitting experience — thorough, enjoyable and, most importantly, honest.
His fitting approach starts with understanding how you play, assessing your current equipment and establishing what you want to improve. He then combines launch monitor data, extensive testing and player feedback to find a setup that genuinely benefits your game rather than simply recommending the newest equipment.
Whether you’re looking for more distance, tighter dispersion, better consistency or simply want to know if your current clubs are right for you, Ross will take the time to test and explain every detail. And if the best option is keeping what’s already in your bag, that’s exactly what he’ll recommend.
Meet Matt
PGA Qualified | 18+ Years’ Experience | Former Playing Professional
Matt is a PGA-qualified professional with more than 18 years of experience in the golf industry, having custom fitted thousands of golfers across the South of the UK.
His love for golf started at 10 years old at a pitch & putt in Basingstoke, eventually leading him to join a local club and build a career in the game.
Matt completed his PGA qualification at Tidworth in 2012 and spent 12 years playing professional golf, alongside developing extensive experience in coaching and custom fitting. He has worked at a number of respected golf facilities, most recently Ferndown Forest Golf Club.
His fitting approach is about understanding how you play, what you need from your equipment and finding a setup that genuinely improves your game — not simply chasing the newest club or launch monitor numbers.
Whether you’re looking for more distance, tighter dispersion, better gapping or greater confidence in your equipment, Matt will take the time to test, explain and dial in every detail.

How much does a custom fitting cost at EP Golf Studios?
Single club fittings start at £90 for a fairway wood or hybrid, with driver and iron fittings at £120 and wedges at £105. Combination sessions covering two club types are £180, and a Full Bag Custom Fitting Session is £240. Every price is for the full session, with no separate charge for the data analysis or your spec sheet. See the pricing table above for the full breakdown.
How long does a custom fitting take?
Fairway wood and hybrid fittings run 1 hour 30 minutes. Driver and iron fittings take 2 hours, and wedges 1 hour 45 minutes. Combination sessions covering two club types are 3 hours, a Top of the Bag Fitting is 3 hours 30 minutes, and a Full Bag Custom Fitting Session takes 4 hours.
Is custom fitting worth it if I'm a high handicapper?
Yes. Custom fitting isn't just for low-handicap players. It matches equipment to your actual swing rather than an average golfer's, which can help higher handicappers just as much, often more, by closing the gaps that off-the-shelf clubs leave open.
What's the difference between a custom fitting and buying clubs off the shelf?
Off-the-shelf clubs are built to average specifications. A custom fitting uses GC Quad data from your own swing, including club head speed, launch, spin and peak height, to choose the head and shaft combination that actually suits you.
Do I need to bring my own clubs to a fitting?
It helps if you can bring your current clubs so we can benchmark against them, but it isn't essential. We have a full range of heads and shafts in the studio to test regardless.
Which brands do you fit for?
We're authorised fitters and stockists for PING, Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Mizuno, Cobra, Srixon, Vice Golf and Wilson. You can come in with a brand already in mind, or arrive undecided and we'll compare head and shaft options across the range during your session.
