Driver custom fitting in Newbury, Berkshire
Find out what works for your swing—not just what is new. Compare your current driver with suitable heads, shafts and settings using Foresight Sports GCQuad. Your two-hour session includes a written specification, with no pressure to buy.
Right-handed driver fittings only.

A better-informed driver decision
Driver fitting can help if your drives climb too high, fall short, curve away or feel difficult to control—or if you want to know whether a new driver is worth the investment. You do not need a low handicap; we fit the setup to the swing you bring.
We assess head design, loft and settings; shaft weight, flex and profile; playing length, balance and grip. Results vary: a fitting cannot guarantee extra yards or cure every swing problem. If your current driver is right, we will say so.
Cost and inclusions
Driver fitting cost and prices
You pay for time, testing and a recommendation you can understand—not a commitment to buy a new driver.
Price-matched clubs. Custom-fitted to you.
We price-match club prices alongside a personalised fitting service, so you can choose equipment based on your fitting results without overlooking value. Ask us about price matching before ordering.

TRADE-IN
Trade in your old driver
You can trade in your old driver through our partnership with Nearly New Golf Clubs.
Trade-in eligibility and value depend on the clubs, their condition, age and current demand.
The agreed trade-in value can go towards your next equipment upgrade.
What happens in your driver fitting?
Start with your game
We discuss your usual miss, desired flight, current driver and budget. The session starts with your priorities.
Understand your driver
Bring your driver if you have one. We check its specifications and establish a GCQuad baseline across normal shots—not only your best drive.
Test relevant setups
We compare suitable heads, shafts and settings. Length, loft and balance can matter as much as model; we explain changes and listen to how each setup feels.
Look at the whole result
We compare carry, flight and dispersion alongside your feedback. The useful question is which setup gives you a more playable pattern.
Leave with a specification
Your written specification covers head, shaft, grip, length, loft, lie and swing weight. There is no obligation to buy equipment.
Head, shaft and grip—matched to your swing
Driver heads
Compare relevant head designs, lofts and settings for launch, spin, carry and your usual miss. A low-spin head is not automatically right.
Current matrix: PING, Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Cobra and Srixon. Availability varies.
Driver shafts
Weight, flex, profile, length and balance all matter. A manufacturer stock shaft may be right; premium is not automatically better. We consider test results and budget.
Grip and specification
Grip size and feel are part of the setup. Your recommendation records grip with head, shaft, length, loft, lie and swing weight.
True Temper and Fujikura certified.
What do the numbers actually mean?
Foresight Sports GCQuad analyses ball launch and club delivery. We explain how the numbers relate to your shots.
Speed and strike
Club speed, ball speed, smash factor and strike location show how delivery and face contact affect distance and direction.
Launch and flight
Launch angle, spin, club path, face angle and attack angle help explain flight and curvature.
Carry and dispersion
We compare carry and shot spread across setups, not just the longest best drive.
Indoor carry and total-distance figures are modelled from launch data; total distance also depends on ground-condition assumptions. They are not promises of course yardage. There is no single ideal launch or spin number for every golfer.
See real driver fittings before you book
Our YouTube channel shows EP’s testing and explanations. These examples show questions a fitting can answer—not guaranteed results for another golfer.
Can equipment help a high-right miss?
What if delivery is the issue?
What do shafts change?
Choose a fitter by the process, not just the longest shot
Look for recent reviews describing whether the existing driver was tested, results were explained and the golfer felt free to decide.
Ask whether your current driver is the starting point, what the fee includes, whether suitable heads and shafts can be tested within your budget, whether you will get a written recommendation, and what happens if you do not need a new driver.
At EP, you have a two-hour appointment, a private fitting room, GCQuad analysis and no pressure to buy. We have been helping golfers since 2020; no one fitting approach is best for everyone.
What our fitting customers say
Amazing service and driver fitting today from Matt, very professional and got the desired outcome of what I was looking for. No pressure to buy from them (although I did go through them to purchase my new club as quick and easy). 100% recommend and will be back for fairway/hybrid fitting. Thank you
Mark Bridewell
I booked a driver fitting and yet again had a great experience. Ross takes real pride in what he does and the whole process is relaxed and enjoyable. There is no hard sell and yet again I’m really pleased with driver I’ve been fitted too. We travel 4hrs to get to the studio and it’s worth every bit of the time , cost and effort. I cannot recommend the service enough. I will always come here to get any clubs fitted. Great experience.
Dave and Sue Flynn
This was the best club fitting I’ve ever had. Ross was brilliant and the facilities were great. I suffer with pain in my hands, Ross took time and came up with the perfect solution to that whilst also improving performance. I am now going to enjoy some pain free golf for which I am extremely grateful. If you are thinking about having a fitting think no further and book with EP! Thank you Ross!

Driver custom fitting FAQs
How much does driver custom fitting cost?
A driver fitting at EP Golf Studios costs £120 for two hours, including GCQuad analysis, head-and-shaft testing and a written specification. Equipment purchases are separate, and the £120 fitting fee is not deducted from equipment purchases.
How long does a driver fitting take?
Our driver fitting takes two hours. This allows time to discuss your goals, establish a baseline with your current driver, test alternatives and explain the recommendation.
Is a driver fitting worth it for beginners or high-handicap golfers?
It can be. You do not need a perfect swing. Testing shows whether your equipment suits you; if a delivery issue is limiting the result, identifying it can be more useful than buying another driver.
Can I get my existing driver or shaft assessed?
Yes. We can assess your driver against alternatives; keeping it or adjusting the setup may be the right outcome. Shaft-only options depend on head, adapter and demo compatibility. Contact us with your model before booking a shaft-only assessment.
Will a driver fitting fix my slice or add distance?
It may help, but neither outcome is guaranteed. Equipment can influence strike, launch and face delivery; it cannot remove every swing issue. The useful result depends on your starting setup and how you respond to the alternatives.
Do I need a premium aftermarket driver shaft?
Not necessarily. A manufacturer stock shaft may suit you. Consider a premium shaft only if testing shows a useful benefit for your complete driver setup and the cost makes sense for your budget.
What should I bring to a driver fitting?
Bring your current driver if you have one, your usual glove and comfortable golf clothing and footwear. Tell us your typical miss, goals and budget. You do not need to diagnose the problem first.
Do I have to buy a new driver after the fitting?
No. Your fitting includes a written specification, with no pressure to order equipment. If your current setup remains the right choice, we will tell you.
Do you offer left-handed driver fittings?
No. Our driver fitting service is for right-handed golfers only. We do not offer left-handed driver fittings.
