Honest advice. No pressure to buy new clubs.

What is a Full Club MOT?

A Full Club MOT is a thorough assessment of your current golf clubs. We check their specifications, measure your yardages and explore adjustments to help your equipment work better for you.

Using Foresight GCQuad, we assess your distances and gapping, helping you make more informed club choices on the course.

What’s included?

Iron and wedge loft and lie checks

We measure your iron and wedge lofts and lie angles, with alterations included where the clubs are suitable for adjustment. You will go away knowing the exact specifications of your clubs.

Adjustable wood settings

We assess the sleeve settings on your adjustable woods and dial in the available loft and lie settings to suit you. We record this for you on our template, so you understand each setting for all of your clubs.

Yardage checks throughout your bag

Find out how far your clubs carry and identify large distance gaps or clubs with overlapping yardages. We will then work with you to assess what is the best way to fill that gap.

Grip size and condition checks

We assess whether your grips are the right size and check their condition. Replacement grips can be fitted if required, at an additional cost.

A recorded report

You receive a report detailing your club checks and any alterations made. We also keep your specifications on record for future checks.

Golf ball recommendation

We recommend a golf ball suited to your game, based on what we see during your session.

Is your bag due an MOT?

A Full Club MOT is particularly useful if:

  • You’re unsure of your current yardages.

  • Some clubs fly similar distances while others leave a big gap.

  • Your bag contains clubs bought at different times.

  • Your swing has changed since your last fitting.

  • Your grips are worn or don’t feel right.

  • You want your existing equipment checked before considering new clubs.

  • You don’t want to buy new clubs, but you want to maximise your current bag

  • Increase confidence and understanding of your current clubs

Make the most of what you already have

You don’t always need new clubs to improve your setup. Sometimes, adjusting your existing equipment and understanding your distances can help you get more from your bag.

We’ll explain what we find, recommend suitable changes and be honest about where an adjustment may help—and where it may not.

Full Club MOT FAQs

Is this the same as a custom fitting?

A Full Club MOT focuses on assessing and optimising your existing clubs. A custom fitting explores different club heads and shafts to find suitable equipment for your game. If you would like to try new clubs for your whole bag, then a Full Bag Custom Fitting would be better for you. This gives us time to check your existing against any of the current clubs that are out.

Are loft and lie alterations included?

Yes, iron and wedge loft and lie alterations are included. We check whether your clubs can be safely adjusted before making changes, as some clubs can’t be bent very much.

Will you check the gaps between my clubs?

Yes. Yardage checks help identify gaps and overlapping distances throughout your bag. You’ll go away knowing the yardages of each of your clubs, so you can be confident in selecting the right club when you are out on the course.

Do I need to buy new clubs?

No. The purpose is to help you get more from your existing equipment. If we identify a gap or limitation, we’ll explain your options there are for you.

What should I bring?

Bring your full golf bag, including every club you normally use, and your usual golf balls so we can discuss your current choice.

Where does the session take place?
